The sweepstakes, sponsored by Kia Motors America, Inc., Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association (WANADA) and The Washington Auto Show® was open to legal residents of D.C., Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, 18 years of age or older, through an online drawing on The Washington Auto Show's Web site. The sweepstakes ran from Jan. 25, 2010 through Feb. 7, 2010, with the random drawing held on Feb. 14, 2010.
Kia Motor’s District Sales Manager Jennifer Wilson and WANADA Executive Vice President John O’Donnell presented Mr. Amed with his new Sorento at Fairfax Kia, located at 10595 Warwick Ave. in Fairfax, Va.
“Each year, The Washington Auto Show revs up its awards with more exciting and valuable vehicle giveaways,” said Gerard Murphy, president of WANADA. “We are delighted to partner with a company as powerful and innovative as Kia Motors and to showcase its stylish2011 Sorento.”
Announcements on Clear Channel Radio, through DC101, WMZQ and Hot 99.5, and the Undertone Network of Web sites, with online impressions totaling more than six million, urged area residents to register for a chance to win by visiting The Washington Auto Show's Web site at www.washingtonautoshow.com/kia. Sweepstakes Official Rules were posted on this site and at each of the 17 Washington, D.C. area Kia retailers.
Completely redesigned for the 2011 model year, the all-new Sorento is a modern CUV that is just the right size for today’s consumer. Sorento now employs a unibody design with the ability to comfortably fit up to seven passengers, offering more space and ride comfort than the previous-generation model, as well as easy handling. In addition to offering a comfortable ride, impressive technology features also come standard throughout, including an AM/FM/CD/MP3/Sat audio system with SIRIUS® Satellite Radio capabilities and three months complimentary service[1]. Also standard on all models are auxiliary and USB audio input jacks for connecting personal MP3 players and Bluetooth®[2] wireless technology connectivity with steering wheel-mounted voice activation controls to enable hands-free operation for all compatible mobile phones. Available push button-start ignition with smart key, rear sonar back-up sensors, voice-activated navigation, rear view back-up cameras and air ionization purification technology complete the modern and high-tech driving experience.
Now in its 93rd year of existence, WANADA represents dealerships throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia area.
This 69th edition of The Washington Auto Show displayed more than 700 vehicles from more than 42 domestic and import manufacturers and a special 65,000-square foot exhibit, “The Advanced Technology SuperHighway” of the latest technologies in safety and sustainability.
