Voices—and school spirit—will soar on Monday night, when The Washington Auto Show hosts its first annual Auto Tunes: Collegiate A Cappella Competition, drawing crooners from George Washington, American, and Catholic universities to cap off "Student Day" at the show.
"Among Washington's great attributes is its vibrant student population," says Washington Auto Show Chairman Robert Fogarty. "We want to celebrate our students and what better way to do that than with music?"
Students get into the show for just $5 on Monday ($7 off the $12 ticket price) by showing student ID.
Monday evening's contest will begin at 6:30 and will feature performances by the GW Pitches. A.U.'s On a Sensual Note, and Redline A Cappella from Catholic University.
