2014 “The Price is Right” Contest Winner

WINNER ANNOUNCED FOR “THE PRICE IS RIGHT” AT THE WASHINGTON AUTO SHOW

Official Rules for “The Price is Right”

A DC resident has won “The Price is Right” at The Washington Auto Show, correctly guessing the cost of a package featuring a 2014 Hyundai Sonata and an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles to watch a live taping of “The Price is Right.” The grand prize Hyundai Sonata is a loaded limited edition model that has been made available by the Washington Area Hyundai Dealers.
 
Bill Levenson, a contracting officer with the Federal Communications Commission, won the package, which includes airfare, ground transfers and two nights at a Hollywood hotel along with spending money. 
 
As a government employee, Levenson attended the auto show during the Sneak Peek event for government, industry and media. Each year, he attends the Washington Auto Show, calling it the “best way to bring in the new year.” The auto show enthusiast, however, has no car himself. On getting the phone call that he was the winner, Levenson said, “To get a call like this is real amazing, and I definitely look forward to having [the car] and using it.”  
 
Attendees could play “The Price is Right” with an in-person entry at the show inside at the Hyundai exhibit space, at the Hyundai booth or in the Auto Show lobby prior to noon on Sunday, February 2. Contestants could also enter at any of the 18 Washington area Hyundai dealerships beginning Jan. 13. The drawing to find a winner was held the final day of The Washington Auto Show, Sunday, Feb. 2 at 1:30 p.m.
 
“Our valued and longstanding partnership with the Washington Area Hyundai Dealers enables us to not only give show guests a chance to win a beautiful car that demonstrates the ingenuity and achievements of our industry, but to also generate enthusiasm about this trailblazing automaker,” said Kevin Reilly, president of Alexandria Hyundai and chairman of the 2014 Washington Auto Show.
 
The winner of The Washington Auto Show competition was the person coming closest to the winning package without exceeding the price. 
 
The contest is sponsored by Hyundai Dealers of Washington (HYUNDAI), The Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association (WANADA).
 
The contest was open to all legal United States citizens 18 years of age or older who reside in the greater Washington DC area. Contestants had to be at least 18 years of age by January 1, 2014 to participate. All entrants also were required to have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
