Q60 Coupe and Convertible — repurposed G37 models — still offer a good mix of performance and visual oomph; new S and S Limited models; Coupe loses IPL version.

Carryover 330-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 with a seven-speed automatic transmission or six-speed manual; Convertible can be had in more powerful IPL guise with an extra 20 horses.

While a new name — Q60 — hasn’t substantially altered the old G37 Coupe and Convertible, they are still reasonable competitors to the 4-Series and C-Class that more readily come to mind. There’s still the 3.7-liter V6 that produces 330 horsepower in Q60 Coupe form and 325 in the Q60 Convertible. Seven-speed automatic transmissions are standard across the board, or you can also order a six-speed manual transmission, which is a reflection of Infiniti’s sporting nature. Speaking of which, there’s an Infiniti Performance line (IPL) that for 2015 is only based off the rear-wheel-drive convertible, but not the coupe anymore. It gets 348 horsepower and comprehensive chassis/suspension/braking mods (and a six-speed manual transmission or seven-speed automatic to actually use the extra power) as well as styling changes to clearly identify the model. It’s priced about $10,000 above the base Q60 convertible. Infiniti’s new S and S Limited trims (for both Coupe and Convertible) with the latter getting a more sporting suspension, although any S is only rear-drive. Every version brings an astounding level of technology to four-wheeled transportation, such as “4-Wheel Active Steer” that automatically adjusts the steering gear ratio and rear suspension geometry according to how fast the car is traveling and the direction it’s heading. The convertible wows the crowd with its three-piece folding hardtop. Standard convertible features include a leather interior, a wind deflector to help keep your hairdo in place and a unique Bose Open Air Sound System with an equalizer that adjusts according to outside noise, vehicle speed and top up or down position.
