Do I need to present proof of COVID Vaccination to enter the show?
Yes. In accordance with the mandates set by Mayor Muriel Bowser and the District of Columbia on December 22, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center will require all show guests age 12 and older to show proof of vaccination and corresponding ID to enter. This is in addition to the District of Columbia’s requirement to wear a mask while inside the convention center.

Do I have to wear a mask to attend the auto show?
At this time it is likely that there will be a mask requirement to attend the auto show, though this is subject to change. Can I buy tickets at the door?

No, tickets are not refundable. However, they are transferable.

May I use my credit or debit card to purchase tickets at the door?
You may purchase full price adult and children tickets using a credit or debit card at our self-serve kiosks located in the Convention Center.
Do I need to print the E-Tickets I purchased online and bring to them to the show?
Yes! You must present your E-Ticket for verification to enter the Auto Show, unless presenting the barcode on an iPhone/Droid/Blackberry/PDA/using the mobile ticket option.
My E-Ticket is printed with my name on it, can I give it to someone else to use if I cannot go?
Yes! Tickets are transferable but can only be used for one entry into the Auto Show.
May I use the same ticket multiple times?
No. Tickets purchased online, at ticket booths, or any other vendor can be used any day of the show, but one time only.
Is there a “Will Call” and an Information Booth?
Yes. There is a “Will Call” located at the Mt. Vernon entrance and information booths throughout the Convention Center.
What days and times are the busiest?
Weekends tend to bring larger crowds, but the show floors provide ample space to accommodate all visitors.
Can I leave and come back?
Further details on the ability to leave and return once you have entered the building will be determined by the District and show organizers closer to the show, based on whether there are COVID safety regulations in place at the time. In prior years, attendees have been able to leave and return to the building, provided they receive a hand stamp upon entry.
Are photograph cameras and video cameras allowed in the show?
Photographic and video cameras are allowed at The Washington, D.C. Auto Show. Be mindful of cumbersome or large equipment so as not to disrupt the enjoyment of the show for others.
Can I bring a backpack, bag or purse?
Yes. You may bring a backpack, bag or purse into the Auto Show. All bags, backpacks, purses, etc. will be searched prior to entry.
Are pets allowed in the show?
No. Except for Service Animals, pets are not allowed in the Auto Show.
Are strollers allowed in the show? Do you rent wheelchairs or scooters?
Strollers are allowed in the show. If you or anyone in your party needs assistance getting around the show, book a wheelchair or electric scooter with Scootaround, a personal transportation assistance company.
Can you purchase cars at the show?
While vehicles cannot be purchased at The Washington, D.C. Auto Show, most vehicles on display are available for purchase through your local Dealer. To find a Dealer in your area click here.
Is there someplace to sit and eat?
Yes. There are food vendors at the Auto Show in addition to restaurants and cafes immediately surrounding the Convention Center.
Can I bring my own food and beverages into the Convention Center?
No. You can not bring your own food and beverages.
Is there a Lost & Found office?
During show dates, Lost & Found is located in Room 209A and can be reached at 202-249-4060.
Is there a coat and/or bag check at the Auto Show?
The Walter E. Washington Convention Center offers a coat and bag check. The rate is $5 per article checked.
Do you have to purchase additional tickets to see celebrities?
Your auto show ticket enables you to see celebrities and participate in events at no additional cost.

Notice: Attendees are encouraged to arrive early as the Washington, D.C. Auto Show has instituted a standard security policy for all show days at the center. Patrons will be subject to search and possible hand held metal detectors. All bags, briefcases, book bags or items similar in nature will be searched as patrons enter the arena. The Washington, D.C. Auto Show consults with local law enforcement agencies on a continual basis. Some of the security measures in place will be apparent to patrons and some will not.
